Levels of Prenatal Attachment in Pregnant Women and Factors Affecting It

Abstract
The objective of the study is to assesslevels of prenatal attachment in pregnant womenand factors affecting it. Methodology: The survey was conducted with 142pregnant women applying to a family health centrein Istanbul Province. Information Collection Formand Prenatal Attachment Inventory were used incollecting data during face-to-face interviews by theresearcher. Findings: The average score is Prenatal AttachmentInventory was 57.3±12.3. Average scores werehigher with working pregnant women than nonworking and with pregnant women having higherincome than others. Conclusion: Prenatal attachment in pregnantwomen is positively affected by employment status,week in pregnancy and income status while otherfactors including age, educational status, familytype, intended pregnancy, number of pregnanciesand number of children alive have no significanteffect
Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı gebelerin prenatalbağlanma düzeyleri ve bunları etkileyen etmenleribelirlemektir. Yöntem: Araştırma İstanbul İli'nde bir aile sağlığımerkezine başvuran 142 gebeyle yapıldı. Verilerintoplanmasında Bilgi Formu ve Prenatal BağlanmaEnvanteri kullanıldı. Veriler araştırmacı tarafındankarşılıklı görüşme yöntemi ile toplandı. Bulgular:Prenatal Bağlanma Envanteri puan ortalaması57,327±12,3.29 idi. Çalışan gebelerinçalışmayanlara göre, geliri giderinden fazla olangebelerin de diğer gelir durumundaki gebelere görePrenatal Bağlanma Envanteri puan ortalamaları dahayüksek bulundu. Sonuç: Gebelerin prenatal bağlanmalarını çalışmadurumu, gebelik haftası ve gelir durumu olumluyönde etkilerken, yaş, eğitim durumu, aile tipi,istemli gebelik, gebelik sayısı ve yaşayan çocuksayısının anlamlı bir etkisi olmadığı saptandı
