Profile of graduated students from Faculty of Fisheries, Ege University.

Abstract

The first graduated students from Faculty of Fisheries completed their trainings in 1985-1986 education season. 1091 students were graduated until 2007. The goal of this study is to research the state of employment of these graduated students, to show up social and economic profile of them and their opinion about their education. The numbers of partcipants had been confirmed by counting sampling frequency which has enough volume to represent the main population. Eventually, 110 of the surveys have been analysed. Results of survey have indicated that 89% of participators were working 7% of them were working at government corporations 26% of them were working at private sector, 39% of them were working in universities in aquaculture sector and also 24 % of participators were working at private sector, 4% of them were working at government corporations except of aquaculture sector.

Özet

Su Ürünleri Fakültesi, 1985-1986 öğrenim döneminde ilk mezunlarını vermiş, 2007’ye kadar geçen sürede 1091 kişi mezun olmuştur. Su Ürünleri Mühendisleri’nin istihdam durumlarını araştırmak, mezunların sosyal ve ekonomik profilini ve öğrenim faaliyetleri hakkındaki görüşlerini ortaya çıkarmak, bu çalışmanın amacını oluşturmaktadır. Bu araştırma için hazırlanan anketin uygulanacağı kişi sayısı, söz konusu anakitleyi temsil edecek büyüklükteki örneklem sayısının hesaplanmasıyla ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Sonuçta 110 adet anket formu değerlendirilmeye alınmıştır. Anket sonuçlarından mezunların, %89’unun çalışıyor olduğu, su ürünleri alanında çalışanların %26’sının özel sektörde, %7’sinin kamu sektöründe, %39’unun üniversitelerde, su ürünleri alanı dışında çalışanların da, %24’ünün özel sektörde, %4’ünün kamu sektöründe çalıştığı tespit edilmiştir.
