Studies on symptomatological reactions of different Cucurbita pepo varietes to zucchini yellow mosaic potyvirus (ZYMV) and determination of infections rates

Farklı Cucurbita pepo varyetelerinin zucchini yellow mozayik potyvirusu (ZYMV)' na karşı simptomatolojik reaksiyonlarının ve enfeksiyon oranlarının belirlenmesi üzerinde çalışmalar

Abstract

This research study was conducted for the purposes of determination of symptomatological reaction of to four different squash varietes against to zucchini yellow potyvirus (ZYMV) infection. in this study, SQ - 1999 (11X10), Jericho (HA - 26) Hazera, Eskenderany Hybrid (Petoseed) and Squash HY Maayan Cucurbita pepo varietes were inoculated with İsparta isolate of ZYMV by mechanical inoculation. Ali varietes were showed typical symptoms of ZYMV which are mosaic, stunting, yellowing of the leaves and shoestring - like leaf blades. As a result of mechanical inoculations, infection rates of four varietes were employed in this study were changed in between 92.5 % -100 %

Özet

Bu çalışma, dört farklı kabak varyetesinin zucchini yellow mozayik virüsü enfeksiyonuna karşı simptomatolojik reaksiyonlarım belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. SQ - 1999 (11 X 10), Jericho (HA- 26) Hazera, Eskenderany Hybrid (Petoseed) ve Squash HY Maayan Cucurbita pepo varyetelerine zucchini yellow mozayik Potyvirüs (ZYMV )'unun İsparta izolatı mekaniksel inokulasyon yöntemi ile inokule edilmiştir. Bütün varyeteler ZYMV nün mozayik, sararma, bodurlaşma ve yaprakların potin bağı biçiminde incelmesi şeklindeki tipik simptomlarını sergilemiştir. Mekaniksel inokulasyonlar sonunda, çalışmada kullanılan dört varyetenin enfeksiyon oramları, % 92.5 - % 100 arasında değişmiştir.
