Logistic performance measurement in manufacturing units and improvement of organizational structures: A case study

Abstract
The goal of this study was to determine simulation methodology and apply it to manufacturing units and improve organizational structure by reviewing some current literature. A nut manufacturing system was selected for modeling on production and assembly simulation tools. For the measurement of the system's performance, the evaluation metrics of organization achievement was used. At the end of simulation experiments, some weak points in the system were determined. In improving the system, an effort was made to provide suggestions and relate them to manufacturing performance.

Bu çalışmada, simülasyonun tanımı ve üretim sistemlerinde uygulanmasına yönelik kısa bir literatür araştırması yapılarak, bir civata fabrikasının üretim sistemi 'İmalat ve Montaj Simülasyon Programı' yardımıyla modellenmiştir. Sistemin performans ölçümü için organizasyon yapıları başarı değerlendirme metriklerinden faydalanılmıştır. Simülasyon koşumları sonucunda sistemin zayıf noktaları belirlenmiş ve sistemin iyileştirilmesine yönelik yorum/ öneriler getirilerek sonuçlar ortaya konulmuştur.
