Marble sector in Turkey and their problems and solving suggestions

Abstract

Today the marble, which has been, used for many years causes many problems while it has been processed. In this paper, the relationship between the problems caused by marble processing and regarding environmental issues have been studied. In this study, the importance of marble processing industry in the World and in Turkey has been investigated and compared. Furthermore, the marble processing problems have been investigated and some practical solutions have been proposed. The reserve of the marble mines in Turkey has been investigated and the positive and negative effects caused by marble processing on environment have been examined. For the solution of negative consequences some alternative methods have been suggested. The current technologies and developments used in marble processing have been compared with available recent developments and technologies.

Özet

Çok eskiden beri kullanılan mermer, günümüzde işlenirken beraberinde bir çok sorun getirmektedir. Mermer işlemeciliği ile birlikte gelen bu sorunlar ve çevre ilişkisi bu çalışmada incelenmiştir. Bu çalışmada mermer sanayinin Dünyadaki ve Türkiye'deki yeri araştırılmış ve karşılaştırılmıştır. Ayrıca mermer işlemeciliğinin Türkiye'deki durumu araştırılmış, sorunları ve bu sorunlara öneriler sunulmuştur. Türkiye'deki mermer rezervleri araştırılmış, mermer işleme sektörünün çevreye ne gibi tesirleri (olumlu-olumsuz) olduğu ve bu tesirlerin olumsuz etkilerinin çözümü için çeşitli alternatifler sunulmuştur. Mermer işlemeciliğinde dünyadaki son gelişmeler ve günümüzde kullanılan işlemecilik ile bu gelişmeler karşılaştırılmıştır.
