An economic manufacturing quantity model with learning effects and shortages backordered

Abstract

This paper considers the calculation of economic manufacturing quantity with shortages backordered ( EMQ ) under the influence of learning. The size of each order is assumed to be large enough to allow the manufacturing learning phenomenon. The set-up cost is also assumed to decline as a result of learning. These two types of learning phenomena are incorporated in the classical economic manufacturing quantity model with shortage backordered to compute the optimal manufacturing quantities and number of orders. After the theoretical treatment of cost function, the effects of learning on the optimal solution is investigated with numerical examples.

Bu çalışma, öğrenme etkileri altında stoksuzluğa izin verilmesi durumunda ekonomik imalat miktarının (economic manufacturing quantity with shortages backordered, EMQ ) hesaplanmasını göz önüne almaktadır. Her bir sipariş hacminin, imalat öğrenme olayına izin verecek derecede yeterince büyük olduğu ve hazırlık maliyetinin de öğrenmenin sonucu olarak azaldığı varsayılmaktadır. Bu iki tür öğrenme hadisesi, optimal imalat miktarlarını ve sipariş sayılarını hesaplamak için stoksuzluğa izin verilmesi durumunda klasik EMQ modelinde birleştirilmiştir. Modelin maliyet fonksiyonu oluşturulduktan sonra, optimal çözüm üzerinde öğrenmenin etkileri sayısal örneklerle incelenmiştir.
