Comparison of the reconstruction technics in the head and neck cancer

Baş boyun kanserlerinde rekonstrüksiyon yöntemlerinin karşılaştırılması

Abstract

As the frequency of the head and neck tumors increases, the therapy proto¬cols develop. Wide tissue defects and serious functional losses resulting from oncological resections has become a challenge for the head and neck surgeons. A successful reconstruction facilitates the use of adjoint therapy and improves the survival. In the last ten years we employed a total of 65 free tissue transfers, pediculled flaps and gastric transpositions in 57 patients. This papers reviews our results.

Özet

Baş boyun kanserlerinin sıklığının artışına paralel olarak, uygulanan te¬davi protokolleri de gelişmeler göstermektedir. Geniş doku defektlerine ve ciddi fonksiyon kayıplarına yol açabilen onkolojik rezeksiyonlar sonrası o-narım, baş boyun cerrahlarının en önemli uğraş alanlarından biridir. Başa¬rılı bir rekonstrüksiyon adjuvan tedavi uygulanımını da kolaylaştırmakta, bir anlamda sağkalım üzerine de olumlu etkide bulunmaktadır. Klini¬ğimizde son 10 yıl içerisinde 57 olguda uygulanan toplam 65 serbest doku transferi, pediküllü flep ve mide transpozisyonu tekniklerinin sonuçlarını karşılaştırmalı olarak sunuyoruz.
