Reconstruction of the surgical defect involving one side of the lower lip, commissure and the upper lip using local flaps: A case report

Abstract
We present a 73-year-old male patient with epidermoid carcinoma involving one side of the lower lip, commissure and the upper lip. Reconstruction of the surgical defect was made using local flaps. For this purpose, Gilles's fan flap from the healthy side, nasolabial flap from the other side and an advancement flap from the neck were used. After healing period, an adequate mouth opening, eating-swallowing function and fonation were obtained.

Bu yazıda, bir taraf alt dudak, komüssür ve üst dudakta geniş tutulumu olan epidermoid karsinomlu 73 yaşındaki bir erkek hastada lokal flepleri kullanarak uyguladığımız rekonstrüksiyon yöntemi sunuldu. Bu amaçla, dudağın sağlam tarafından Gilles fan flebi, diğer taraftan nazolabial flep ve boyundan hazırlanan kaydırma flebi birlikte kullanıldı. İyileşme döneminden sonra hastada yeterli bir ağız açıklığı, yeme-yutma fonksiyonu ve fonasyon elde edildi.
