Nd:YAG Laser Posterior Hyaloidotomy in Premacular Subhyaloid Haemorrhages with Various Etiologies

Çeşitli Etiyolojilere Bağlı Premaküler Subhyaloid Hemorajilerde Nd:YAG Lazer Arka Hyaloidotomi

Abstract

Three male and a female patient with acute visual loss due to premacular subhyaloid haemorrhage was treated with Nd:YAG laser posterior hyaloidotomy. Their etiologies, visual acuities, fundus photographs and complications were analysized. The etiologies of subhyaloid haemorrhage were valsalva retinopathy ( in two cases), direct head trauma and retinal artery macroaneurysm, respectively. Visual acuity increased in all cases after the treatment. We did not observe any complications due to the laser application in the follow up period. Nd:YAG laser posterior hyaloidotomy is an easy, safe, effective and low cost procedure in comparison with the invasive surgical procedures in the treatment of premacular subhyaloid haemorrhages. It is considered to be a good alternative teratment to the vitreoretinal surgery

Premaküler subhyaloid hemoraji nedeniyle ani görme kaybı gelişen üç erkek, bir kadın hastaya Nd:YAG lazer ile arka hyaloidotomi yapıldı. Hastalık etiyolojileri, görme keskinlikleri, fundus fotoğrafları, komplikasyonlar değerlendirildi. Olgulardaki hemoraji nedenleri sırasıyla valsalva retinopatisi (iki olguda) , direkt kafa travmasına bağlı subhyaloid hemoraji, retinal arter makroanevrizmasına bağlı subhyaloid hemoraji idi. Tedavi uygulanmadan önceki görme keskinliklerine göre, tüm olgularda tedaviden kısa süre sonra ciddi artış sağlandı. Takip süresince hastalarda lazer uygulamasına bağlı herhangi bir komplikasyona rastlanmadı. Nd:YAG lazer arka hyaloidotomi premaküler subhyaloid hemoraji tedavisinde invaziv cerrahi yöntemlere kıyasla, kolay uygulanabilen, maliyeti düşük, güvenilir ve etkili bir yöntem olarak vitreoretinal cerrahiye gereksinimi azaltan bir alternatif olduğu düşünülmektedir
