The efficacy and safety profile of sublingual piroxicam in patients with hip and/or knee osteoarthritis

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the efficacy and safety of the sublingual fast-dissolving dosage form of the Piroxicam, a nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drug from Oxicam group, in patients with hip and/or knee osteoarthritis. The study was performed at 15 centers as an open, uncontrolled, multicenter trial. Three hundred patients were included. The results indicated that sublingual fast-dissolving dosage form of the Piroxicam was safe and effective in hip and knee osteoarthritis.
Özet
Bu çalışma, Oksikam grubundan bir nonsteroidal antiinflamatuar ilaç olan Piroksikam'ın dilatı hızlı çözünen formunun (Felden Flash) kalça ve/veya diz osteoartrozu olan hastalardaki etkinlik ve güvenilirliğini değerlendirme amacıyla planlanmıştır. Çalışma 15 merkezde, açık, karşılaştırması olarak yürütülmüş ve çalışma kapsamına 300 hasta dahil edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak Piroksikam'ın dilaltı hızlı çözünen formunun diz ve/veya kalça osteoartrozunda etkin ve güvenilir bir ilaç olduğu belirlenmiştir.
