Evaluation of the patient admission to the two primary health centers in Keçiören between April 7-$11^{th}$,2003;One center belonging to the Municipality and the other to the District Health Directorate

Abstract
This study was carried out on 1174 participants who had been admitted to the two different primary health care centers between 7-11th of April in 2003. One of those centers was associated to the Keçiören Municipality and the other to the Keçiören District Health Directorate of the region. The data was obtained from a face-to-face questionnaire applied either to the parents or to the legal guardians of the patients who were under 15 years of age. It was directed to patients themselves if their ages were over 15. At that time interval, total number of admissions to the municipality’s primary health center was 2.4 times more than that of the primary health center. Total number of admissions for the first examination was greater (25.4%) in the primary health center than that of the municipality’s primary health center. It was also greater in ages between 0-4 years (26.2%). In the municipality’s primary health center, admissions for repetitive prescriptions were more than the half of the total admissions; the ratio was obtained as 56.2%, which was only 12.5% in the primary health center. In the primary health center 94.5% and in the municipality’s primary health center 98.4% of the patients reported that the health services delivered were satisfactory. With these results we concluded that; the primary health care centers belonging to the different institutions in the same region should be carefully evaluated regarding their capacity and capability and their services should be incorporated to increase the overall efficiency and quality.

Bu çalışmaya Keçiören Belediyesine bağlı bir sağlık ocağı ile Keçiören Sağlık Grup Başkanlığına bağlı bir sağlık ocağına 7-11 Nisan 2003 tarihleri arasında başvuran 1174 kişi katılmıştır. Veriler 15 yaşından büyük hastaların kendileri, 15 yaşından küçük hastaların ise yanındaki erişkinlerden yüzyüze görüşme tekniği ile uygulanan anket aracılığı ile toplanmıştır. Belirtilen tarihler arasında Belediye sağlık ocağına, sağlık ocağının 2.4 katı daha fazla sayıda hasta başvurmuştur. Sağlık ocağına ilk muayene amacı ile başvurular daha fazladır (%25.4) ve 0-4 yas grubu basvurular (%26.2) diğer ocaktan (%4.1) fazladır. İlaç yazdırmak amacı ile yapılan başvurular Belediye sağlık ocağında bütün başvuruların yarıdan fazlasını (%56.2) oluştururken diğer ocakta %12.5 düzeyindedir. Sağlık ocağına başvuran hastaların %94.5 ü, Belediye sağlık ocağına başvuranların hastaların %98.4 ü sağlık hizmetinden memnun kalmıştır. Özellikle kentsel yörelerde, aynı bölgede hizmet veren ancak farklı kurumlara bağlı birinci basamak sağlık kuruluşlarının hizmetleri değerlendirilerek hizmetin etkinliğini artırmak üzere düzenleme yapılmalıdır.
