Evaluation of the perceived health conditions of males and females over 15 years of age of the indivuduals

Abstract

Perceived health on assessment of individual self health conditions and in determining health level of the population it is an easy way of measuring the health. With this study, the objective was to evaluate the perceived health conditions of males and females over 15 years of age of the indivuduals. Of 10005 individuals who were 15 years of aged or older and who have resided in the community of town of Çivril, Denizli 370 individuals were selectid according to the age grups by using the stratified sampling technique. The inputs of the cross-sectional and complementary type study were collected by meansm of survey method.Of the individuals 45.9% perceived their health negatively. It was determined that in the perceived health condition according to sexuality, women perceived their health condition worse (P<0.000l) individuals perceived health conditions worsened with the increase in age (p<0.000l), matilal status, education, occupation and income status and also it was found that they were statistically significant (P<0.0001). Those individual who had health completions, who had chronic disease, who had Brief Disability, perceived their health conditions negatively.Consequently, various socio-demographic variations, health complations are effecting individuals perceived health conditions. Perceived health was evaluated as a sound indications, because it is readily applicability to a population or a group, because various demensions of health. It is also frequently used to measure the quality of service in the field and clinics.

Özet

Algılanan sağlık kişilerin sağlık durumlarını değerlendirmelerine dayanır ve bir toplumun sağlık düzeyini belirlemede sağlığı ölçmenin kolay bir yoludur. Çalışmayla 15 yaş ve üzeri kadın ve erkeklerin algılanan sağlık durumlarının değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Denizli ili Çivril ilçesinde yaşayan 15 yaş ve üzeri 10005 kişiden 370 kişi yaş gruplarına göre tabakalı örneklem yöntemiyle seçilmiştir. Kesitsel ve tanımlayıcı tipteki çalışmanın verileri anket yöntemiyle toplanmıştır. Kişilerin %45.9'u sağlığını kötü algılamaktadır. Cinsiyete göre kadınların sağlığını daha olumsuz algıladıkları (p<0.0001), medeni durum, eğitim, meslek, gelir durumunun algılanan sağlık durumunu etkilediği ve istatistiksel olarak anlamlı olduğu belirlenmiştir (p<0.0001). Sağlık yakınması bildiren, kronik hastalığı, geçici yiti yitimi olanlar sağlığını daha olumsuz algılamaktadır. Sonuç olarak çeşitli sosyo demografik değişkenler, sağlık sorunları, kişilerin algılanan sağlık durumlarını etkilemektedir. Bir toplum veya grupta kolaylıkla uygulanabilmesi, sağlığın değişik boyutlarını içermesi nedeniyle algılanan sağlık güçlü bir gösterge olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Saha ve kliniklerde hizmetin kalitesini ölçmede sıklıkla kullanılmalıdır.
