The contraceptine usage among 15-49 married women in the district of Evka 4 Health Center and factors effecting this (Contraceptine Usage)

Abstract
Aim: The aim of the study is to evaluate the contraceptive usage among 15-49 aged married women and effective factors on it in the district of Evka 4 health center. Material and Method: This descriptive study was carried out in the district of Evka 4 health center between 01-16 may 2002. The examination group was 15-49 aged married women. Sample of the study was composed of 110 women. The data was collected by the questionnare that are prepared by investigators. Face to face interview technique was used in study. Results: As 42.7 % of the women were using effective method, 76.4% were using any of the contraceptive methods. IUD was mostly used among effective methods. There is statistically significant difference between the use of effective contraceptive methods according to age group ( p <0.05) and, desire for a child (p <0.05). The first step to have women health is using effective contraceptive methods. The achieve this goal health education and free of charge familly planning services should be continued.
Özet
Amaç : Bu çalışma Evka 4 Sağlık Ocağı bölgesinde yaşayan 15-49 yaş kadınların kontraseptif yöntemleri kullanma durumlarını ve etkileyen faktörleri belirlemek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Gereç ve Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı özellikte olan araştırma 01-16 Mayıs 2002 tarihleri arasında Evka 4 sağlık ocağı bölgesinde yapılmıştır. İncelenen grup 15-49 yaş evli kadınlardır. Araştırmanın örneklemini 110 kadın oluşturmuştur. Veriler araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen anket formu kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Araştırmada anketler kişilerle yüz yüze görüşme tekniği kullanılarak uygulanmıştır. Bulgular: Kadınların % 42.7si etkili kontraseptif yöntem olmak üzere %76.4'ü herhangi bir yöntemle korunmaktadır. En çok kullanılan etkili yöntem RİA'dır (%22.7). Kadınların yaş grubu ile etkili kontraseptif yöntem kullanma durumları arasında ( p<0.05) ve başka çocuk isteyip istememe durumları ile etkili kontraseptif yöntem kullanma durumları arasında (p <0.05) anlamlı fark saptanmıştır. Etkili kontraseptiflerin kullanımı kadın sağlığı için birinci derece önemli konulardan biridir. Bu konuda yapılacak eğitimler ve hizmetler sürekli olmalıdır.
