Pediatric outpatient service: Satisfaction of parents' and perception level of given information and effective factors

Abstract
Hospitals are the most frequently used and important part of the health system in our country. This study was performed to measure the quality of pediatric outpatient clinic services and parents’ perception level of the given information about their children’s illnesses. This study was performed by inquiring parents of 104 children who came to pediatric outpatient clinic of Süleyman Demirel University Hospital. The data was evaluated by SPSS computer program. It is seen that parents are satisfied by the interest given, treatment of the child’s illness (obtaining result), trustability of the services taken, and good investigation. The questions about the parents’ perceptions level of their children’s illnesses and their general health situation were prepared with lykerd scale and results indicated that the average grade of the sample group was about the 35,93 ± 3,37 over 40 point. This kind of studies will be helpful to improve hospital services.
Özet
Her şeyin başı sağlık olarak algılanan ülkemizde, sağlık sisteminin en önemli unsuru hastanelerdir. Hastane hizmetinin kalitesini ve ebeveynlerin çocuklarının hastalık ve genel sağlık durumuyla ilgili verilen bilgileri algılama düzeylerini ölçen bu araştırma, Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi Araştırma ve Uygulama Hastanesi Çocuk Polikliniğinde 104 çocuk hasta ebeveyni ile yapılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS Programında değerlendirilmiştir. Sonuç olarak ebeveynlerin gösterilen ilgiden, çocuğun hastalığının tedavi ediliyor olmasından (sonuç alma), aldıkları hizmetlere güven duymaktan, iyi muayene yapılmasından memnun kaldıkları görülmüştür. Ebeveynlerin çocuklarının hastalık ve genel sağlık durumuyla ilgili verilen bilgileri algılama düzeyleri ile ilgili sorular likert tipi skala ile hazırlanmış ve değerlendirme sonucunda 40 tam puan olmak üzere araştırma grubunun puan ortalaması 35,93±3,37 bulunmuştur. Bu tür çalışmalar yoluyla hastane hizmetlerinin daha iyiye gitmesinin sağlanması yararlı olacaktır.
