Examining of the knowledge and behaviors of the last year students of four yeared faculty and college of Hacettepe University central campus concerning with environmental protection

Abstract

In this study which is carried out in order to determine the knowledge and behaviors of the university students about environmental protection. It is determined that most of the students has defined the concepts of "environment friendly" and "recycling products "correctly; the glass is foremost in the selection of packing materials; those who pay attention to healthy packing when they are purchasing the goods are foremost; half of the students separate the wastes; those who tell that the special wastes box is not available for the wastes are foremost; those who point out the glass for the goods that are separated are coming first and most of them pay attention to prevent the environmental pollution, but it is also determined that they don't participate in any campaigns which are organised in order to prevent the environmental pollution.

Özet

Üniversite öğrencilerinin çevre korunmasına ilişkin bilgi ve davranışlarım belirlemek amacıyla yapılan bu çalışmada, öğrencilerin çoğunluğunun "çevre dostu" ve "geri dönüştürülebilir ürün " kavramlarını doğru olarak tanımladığı, tercih edilen ambalaj maddelerinin başında camı belirtenlerin geldiği, ürün satın alırken ambalajının daha sağlıklı olmasına dikkat edenlerin ilk sırayı aldığı, öğrencilerin yarısının atıkları ayırıma tabi tuttuğu, ayırım yapılmama nedenleri arasında ayrı atık kumbaralarının olmamasını belirtenlerin önde geldiği, ayırım yapılan ürünler arasında ise camı belirtenlerin ilk sırada yer aldığı ve çoğunluğunun çevre kirliliğini önlemeye dikkat ettiği, ancak çevre kirliliğini önlemeye yönelik olarak herhangi bir kampanyaya katılmadığı belirlenmiştir.
