Orem’in Öz Bakım Eksikliği Kuramı ve Bu Kurama Göre Sağ Ayak Bileği ve Pelvis Kırığı Olan Hastanın Hemşirelik Bakımı

Abstract

In what conditions and circumstances do people or others have to be under nursing care? “Orem’s studies begins with this question. Orem’s answer is that the nurse is someone else. This thought developed over time and Orem’s nursing vision had became ‘self-care’. If the person has the power and ability to perform an action, he can take care of himself. But if the person can not perform self-care, he needs the help of the nurse. In children, if the child’s family or carer can not meet his needs, nursing care is needed. In this article, it is aimed to indicate the inadequacy of the self-care of a 14-year-old girl with ankle and pelvic fracture, and to discuss the position of the nurse in this theory in the direction of Orem’s theory.

Kişiler veya diğerleri hangi durum ve koşullarda hemşirelik bakımı altında olmalılar?’ Orem’in çalışmaları bu soru ile başlamaktadır. Orem’in cevabı, hemşirenin başka biri olduğudur. Bu düşünce zamanla gelişerek Orem’in hemşirelik görüşü ‘öz bakım’ olmuştur. Kişinin bir eylemi yapabilecek güç ve yeteneği varsa kendi bakımını yapabilir. Fakat kişi öz bakımını gerçekleştiremiyorsa hemşirenin yardımına ihtiyaç duyar. Çocuklarda, çocuğun ailesi ya da bakıcısı onun ihtiyacını karşılayamıyorsa hemşirelik bakımına ihtiyacına gereksinim duyulmaktadır. Bu makalede de 14 yaşında ayak bileği ve pelvis kırığı bulunan bir kız çocuğunun öz bakımın yetersizliğini belirtmek ve Orem’in kuramı doğrultusunda hemşirenin bu kuramdaki yerini tartışmak amaçlanmıştır.
