Some problems of the patient with tuberculosis and social work practices

Abstract

As a social disease Tuberculosis, (TB) affects life balances and coping strategies of patients deeply. Social workers have important roles in decreasing of psychosocial and economic problems of patients in treatment process and coping with disease of patient and his/her family to provide the best treatment for tuberculosis patients. In this below review, tuberculosis disease, effects of tuberculosis, some problems of patients and social work practices in hospitals to provide the best treatmentfor tuberculosis patients are discussed.

Sosyal bir hastalık olarak tanımlanan Tüberküloz (TB), hastanın yaşam dengelerini ve başa çıkma yöntemlerini derinden etkileyebilmektedir. TB hastalarının tıbbi tedaviden en iyi faydayı elde etmeleri için hastalık sürecinde yaşadıkları bazı psiko-sosyal ve ekonomik sorunları azaltmada ve hasta ve ailesinin bu hastalıkla başa çıkmalarında sosyal hizmet uzmanlarının önemli rolleri bulunmaktadır. Aşağıda yer alan derleme çalışmasında, TB hastalığı, etkileri, TB hastalarının yaşadığı bazı sorunlar ve tıbbi tedaviden en yüksek faydayı elde edebilmeleri için hastanelerde gerçekleştirilebilecek sosyal hizmet uygulamalarının neler olduğu tartışılmaktadır.
