Pandemic Struggle and Side Gains

Abstract

No matter how and when it ends, although the COVID-19 pandemic struggle carried out in Turkey in 2020 have some points to be criticized, there is no doubt that these studies provide significant gains in many areas. These gains were in healthcare, political, social and emotional fields. During this period, dense public education was given on personal hygiene and general health issues; the importance of vaccination and the inaccuracy of rejection were emphasized; science got into politics; it was understood that every sector has health-related responsibilities, health services are a state issue and the importance of cross-sectoral cooperation was emphasized; in countries where health care is perceived as a public duty, the outbreak has proven to be more effectively controlled; basic sciences have been adopted and investments have accelerated in these areas; the slowdown of the industry during the pandemic helped the environment recover, air pollution decreased, water cleared; the value of health workers was expressed by all segments of the society, and it was seen that the army in white apron was the main defense force of the country.

Nasıl ve ne zaman sona ererse ersin, 2020 yılında Türkiye’de yürütülen COVİD-19 pandemisi mücadelesinin eleştirilecek yönleri olmakla birlikte, bu çalışmaların birçok alanda oldukça önemli yan kazanımlar sağladığı kuşkusuzdur. Bu kazanımlar sağlık hizmetleri, siyasal, sosyal ve duygusal alanlarda oldu. Bu dönemde çok yoğun olarak kişisel hijyen ve genel sağlık konularında halk eğitimi yapıldı; aşılamanın önemi ve aşı reddinin yanlışlığı vurgulandı; bilim siyasetin içine girdi; her sektörün sağlıkla ilgili sorumlulukları olduğu, sağlık hizmetlerinin bir devlet konusu olduğu ve sektörler arası işbirliğinin önemi anlaşıldı; sağlık hizmetlerinin kamusal bir görev olarak algılandığı ülkelerde salgının daha etkili biçimde kontrol edildiği kanıtlandı; bilgilerin şeffafça paylaşılmasının önemi anlaşıldı; temel bilimlere önem verilmesi gerektiği benimsendi ve bu alanlarda yatırımlar hızlandı; pandemi sırasında sanayinin yavaşlaması çevrenin kendine gelmesine yardımcı oldu, hava kirliliği azaldı, sular temizlendi; sağlık çalışanlarının değeri toplumun bütün kesimlerince dile getirildi ve beyaz önlüklü ordunun ülkenin temel savunma gücü olduğu görüldü.
