Abstract

Multiple Evanescent White Dot Syndrome (MEWDS) is a rare inflammatory disease that usually involve the outer layers of the retina and retinal pigment epithelium. In this article, a case who diagnosed with MEWDS was aimed to report. A 20-year-old male presented to our clinic with sudden visual loss in his left eye. During the initial examination of the patient, some findings have been detected in his left eye, including vitritis (+1), perifoveal retinal wrinkling, and the presence of placoid lesions in temporal perimacular area. Also, characteristic findings of MEWDS have been determined in fundus fluorescein angiography and optical coherence tomography.
