Abstract

Dislocation of the intraocular lens into the posterior segment seen during and after cataract operations is a frequent compli- cation. Cystoid macular edema, vitreous hemorrhage, retinal de- tachment, infl ammation and glaucoma may occur in case of intra- ocular lens dislocation. Provision of refractive rehabilitation and prevention of possible complications is possible by appropriate surgery at the appropri- ate time. With the choice of surgery, timing and appropriate sur- gical procedure, this important complications can be treated with functional success.
