Job Satisfaction Level of Nurses

Abstract

OBJECTIVE: This descriptive study has been carried out with the purpose of determining the job satisfaction of nurses working at Çukurova Dr.Aşkım Tüfekçi State Hospital.METHODS: In this study as a method of student-t test and ANOVA in comparison to more than two variables, normal distribution parameters and the Mann-Whitney U test to compare more than two variables in the Kruskal Wallis tests were used. RESULTS: Considering the findings of the study, nurses' job satisfaction was found to be 59.6+17.0. Although there were no statistically significant difference (p>0.05) in the comparisons according to gender, age groups, marital status, educational levels, there were statistically significant differences in the comparisons according to unit and working hours. CONCLUSION: As a result of this study, nurses' job satisfaction has found at moderate level.

AMAÇ: Bu çalışma, Çukurova Dr. Aşkım Tüfekçi Devlet Hastanesinde çalışan hemşirelerin iş doyum düzeylerini belirlemek amacıyla tanımlayıcı olarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. YÖNTEM: Çalışmada yöntem olarak student-t testi ve ikiden fazla değişken karşılaştırmalarında Anova, normal dağılım göstermeyen parametrelerede Mann-Whitney U testi ve ikiden fazla değişken karşılaştırmalarında KruskalWallis testleri kullanılmıştır. BULGULAR: Çalışmada, hemşirelerin iş doyumu 59,6+17,0 olarak bulunmuştur. Hemşirelerin iş doyum düzeyleri ile cinsiyet, yaş grupları, medeni durumları, eğitim durumları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ilişki saptanmazken (p>0,05), çalıştıkları birim ve çalışma saatleri arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ilişki saptanmıştır (p<0,05). SONUÇ: Bu çalışma sonucunda, hemşirelerin iş doyumu orta seviyede çıkmıştır.
