Sağlık Çalışanlarının Sağlıkta Dönüşüm Projesine İlişkin Görüşleri

Abstract

OBJECTIVE: This study was conducted to determine the opinions of health employees who work in public hospitals in Istanbul, about the health transformation project. METHOD: This study was cross sectional and descriptive. Convenience sampling method was used in the study. In content of the study, 745 health employees who were working in public hospitals in Istanbul were reached and data were collected from 413 of them.Data were collected by a survey form that contents first section which has questions that aimed to define age, gender, occupation and institution of the participants; second section that has some statements about the health transformation and requires choices as "yes, no" and the third section that has three Likert type (agree, neither agree nor disagree, disagree) statements. RESULTS: It was found that health employees mostly confirmed the statements which are "hospitals are transformed to operations" (%67,1; n: 277) and "patients were seen as costumers" (%66,8; n: 276) statements. Also it was determined that health employees agreed with the statement that is "at the end of the health transformation process, health services were commercialized" (%87,4; n: 361).CONCLUSION: According to the findings of this study, it may be said that health employees see health transformation project as a process that makes health area more commercial.

AMAÇ: Bu çalışma, İstanbul'da kamu hastanelerinde çalışmakta olan sağlık çalışanlarının sağlıkta dönüşüm projesine ilişkin görüşlerini belirlemek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir.YÖNTEM: Araştırma kesitsel ve tanımlayıcı özelliktedir. Araştırmada gelişigüzel örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında İstanbul'da 2006 yılında kamu hastanelerinde çalışmakta olan farklı mesleklere üye 745 sağlık çalışanına ulaşılmış, toplam 413 kişiden veri toplanmıştır. Çalışmanın verileri, kişilerin yaş, cinsiyet, meslek ve kurum bilgilerini sorgulayan soruların olduğu birinci bölümden, sağlıkta dönüşüm projesine ilişkin bazı ifadelerin yer aldığı ve «evet, hayır» şeklinde seçeneklerin verildiği ikinci bölümden ve son olarak sağlıkta dönüşüm projesine ilişkin üçlü (katılıyorum, kararsızım, katılmıyorum) Likert ifadelerin yer aldığı üçüncü bölümden oluşan bir anket formu ile toplanmıştır. BULGULAR: Sağlık çalışanlarının en yüksek oranda sağlıkta dönüşüm projesi ile "hastaneler işletmelere dönüştürülmektedir" (%67,1; n: 277) ve "hastalar müşteri olarak görülmektedir" (%66,8; n: 276) ifadelerini onayladıkları saptanmıştır. Ayrıca; katılımcıların "sağlıkta dönüşüm projesi sonucunda sağlık alanının ticarileştirildiği" (%87,4; n: 361) görüşüne katıldıkları belirlenmiştir. SONUÇ: Bu çalışmanın bulgularına göre sağlık çalışanlarının sağlıkta dönüşüm projesini sağlık alanını ticarileştiren bir süreç olarak gördükleri söylenebilir.
