Constant Training in Turkish Security Organization

Abstract

Police is inside society having serious duties such as safeguarding lives of citizens. Performance of the police in fulfilling his duties determined by quality of his knowledge and behaviour. High quality service offered by police leads to rise of respect to the police and strengthen the police organization in society. Therefore, education before and during profession is a crutial issue for a succesful service by the police. In this article first, importance of education for the police will be emphasised. Then, Turkish example in police education will be outlined.

Polis toplumla içiçedir ve vatandaşların can güvenliğini sağlamak gibi ciddi görev ve sorumlulukları vardır. Görevlerini yerine getirmede polisin performansı onun bilgi ve davranış düzeyinin kalitesi tarafından belirlenmektedir. Kaliteli bir hizmet polisin saygınlığını artırmak yanında polis teşikatının toplum içindeki yerini de güçlendirmektedir. Bu nedenle Polis tarafından başarılı, kaliteli bir hizmet için hizmet öncesi ve hizmet içi eğitim çok önem arz etmektedir. Bu makalede ilk olarak polis için eğitimin önemi vurgulanacak daha sonra ise polis eğitiminde Türkiye örneğinin çerçevesi çizilecektir.
