Effect of Season on Some Charactiristics of Stallion Semen

Abstract
In this study 40 Thorroughbred Arabian stallions were used. At theonset of and the end of breeding season, mean volume of semen, sperm motility,abnormal spermatozoa ratio, the concentration of spermatozoa were determined,31.95 ml, 51.60 %, 19.02 %,162.8 x106 per ml and 31.I5 ml, 70.50%, 13.93%,194. 7xl 06 per ml respectively.
Özet
Bu çalismada 40 Safkan Arap aygıri kullanılmıştır. Araştırmadakullanılan aygırlann her birinden çiftleşme sezonu başı ve sonunda ejekulatlatlarialınarak değerlendirilmiştir. Alınan bu ejekülatlarda sezon başı ve sonunda genelortalama spermatolojik değerler (miktar, spermatozoa motiliesi, anomral spermatozoa orani, spermatozoa yoğunluğu) sırasiyla, 31. 95 ml, %51. 60, %19.02, 162.8xl06/ml ve 31.15 mL, %70.59, % 13.93, 194.7xl06/ml olarak belirlenmiştir.
