CHANGING MUSEUM CONCEPT AND DESIGN PRINCIPLES FOR CREATING CONTEMPORARY MUSEM SPACES

Abstract

The museum space tends to achieve the certain aims which are acquiring, researching, and exhibiting the evidence of the humanity and its environment. But the "Museum"s functions and the ways of perfoming them have been changing in parallel social life. Therefore the physical structure of the museum are arranged new or again constantly in order to respond to this change.The scientific knowledges and the point of views, which has values on international scale, are important to create datas for the design of the museum space. The aim of this study is to reveal principles for designing and redesinging museum space through gathering datas related to contemporaray museum existance

Özet

Müze mekânı, yeni veya mevcut bir yapı aracılığıyla, insan ve çevresinin kanıtlarını toplama, üzerinde çalışma ve sergileme edimlerini gerçekleştirmeye yönelmektedir. Fakat "Müze" oluşumunun gerçekleştirdiği işlevler ve bunları yerine getiriş biçimleri, toplumsal yaşama paralel olarak sürekli değişmektedir. Müze işlevinin gerçekleştiği fiziksel yapı da bu değişime yanıt vermek üzere yeni ve yeniden ele alınmaktadır. Uluslararası ölçekte değer gören bilimsel nitelikli girdiler ve bakış açıları çağdaş müze mekânının tasarımına ilişkin verilerin oluşturulmasında önemlidir. Ele alınan çalışma, çağdaş müze oluşumuna yönelik elde edilen verileri biraraya getirerek, müze mekanlarının yeni ve yeniden tasarlanmasına yönelik tasarım girdilerini ortaya koymayı hedeflemektedir
