LOSS OF AVANT-GARDE AND UTOPIA WITHIN SAMPLES AND COMPARISONS FROM AVANT-GARDE MOVEMENTS

AVANGARD AKIMLARDAN ÖRNEKLER VE KIYASLAMALAR ÇERÇEVESİNDE AVANGARDIN VE ÜTOPYANIN YİTİRİLİŞİ

Abstract

Values that spread in Europe with French Revolution play role in shaping of modern art. These values along with the community designs in utopias constitute the historical bases of avantgarde movements. The guiding spirit and pioneering of avant-garde is fed on utopias. Dada, which is an avant-garde art movement, published manifestos in order to communicate effectively with society. The utopia of Dada is to achieve a model of society led by artists and in which everyone would be an artist. In the ongoing process, avangard continued with surrealism and situationism, has gained new definitions and methods. The avant-garde art movements and utopias of these movements have a big influence on society and art. However, a close change to the order aimed by these utopias is not felt neither in the art world nor in the society. In today’s art, an avant-garde art movement or work cannot be created. Pop-Art, as one of the orientations in art, is an important point about neutralization of avant-garde. Approaching of Pop-Art from this point provides examples about loss of avant-garde. Other changes which happened in structure of society and art are also effective on this loss. The reasons of loss of avant-garde and utopia can be sought in perceptions of art that develop and change, some political developments and the changes in the structure of society.

Fransız Devrimi ile birlikte Avrupa’da yayılan toplumsal değerler, modern sanatın şekillenmesinde rol oynar. Bu değerler, ütopyalardaki toplum tasarıları ile birlikte, avangard akımların tarihsel temellerini oluşturur. Avangardın yol göstericiliği ve öncülüğü ütopyalardan beslenir. Avangard bir sanat hareketi olan Dada, toplumla etkili bir iletişime geçebilmek için manifestolar yayınlamıştır. Dada’nın ütopyası, sanatçının yol gösterdiği bir toplum ile herkesin sanatçı olduğu bir toplum modeline ulaşmaktır. Devamında ise avangard, Sürrealizm ve Sitüasyonizm ile devam etmiştir, yeni tanım ve yöntemler kazanmıştır. Avangardın ve ütopyalarının, sanata ve topluma etkisi büyüktür. Ancak bu ütopyaların amaçladığı düzene yakın bir değişim, ne sanat dünyasında ne de toplumda hissedilmektedir. Günümüz sanatında, avangard bir sanat akımı ya da eseri yaratılamamaktadır. Sanattaki yönelimlerden biri olan Pop-Art, avangardın etkisizleştirilmesi konusunda önemli bir noktadır. Bu yönüyle incelenmesi, avangardın yitirilişi ile ilgili örnekler sunar. Toplum yapısındaki ve sanattaki diğer değişimler de bunda etkindir. Avangardın ve ütopyanın yitiriliş sebepleri, değişen sanatsal yaklaşımlarda, politik ve toplumsal değişimlerde aranabilir.
