An evaluation about 12th World congress of accounting historians

Abstract

12th World Congress of Accounting Historians was held in İstanbul in July 20-24 2008. 239 papers were discussed in the Congress. 572 participations attended to the Congress and 253 of these participations participated from foreign countries. Participations attended from foreign countries came from 54 different countries. According these data, this Congress was the biggest Congress held by now. 35 % of participations came from Turkey, 15 % of participations came from Europe, 13 % of participations came from Balkans and 10 % of participations came from Middle East. 86 of presented papers came from Turkey, 40 presented papers came from Europe, 19 presented papers came from Balkans, 19 presented papers came from Asia Countries, and 8 presented papers came from Middle East Countries. Papers prepared from Turkey was presented by 33 university and 22 papers were prepared collectively among Turkish Universities. Moreover, 85 papers were wrote by only one author, 82 papers were w wrote by two authors, 54 papers were wrote by threee authors and 15 papers were wrote by four authors. Only one paper was wrote by five authors.

12. Dünya Muhasebe Tarihçileri Kongresi 20-24 Temmuz 2008 tarihleri arasında İstanbul'da yapıldı. Kongre'de 239 bildiri tartışıldı. 253'ü yabancı ülkelerden olmak üzere kongreye 572 katılımcı katıldı. Yurt dışından gelenler 54 ülkeden gelmişlerdi. Bu sayısal verilere göre bu kongre şimdiye kadar yapılanların en büyüğü niteliği taşıyordu/Katılanların %35'i Türkiye'den, %15'i Avrupa'dan, %1'3'ü Balkanlar'dan ve %10'u da Orta Doğu'dan gelmişlerdi. Sunulan Bildirilerden 86 adedi Türkiye'den 40 adedi Avrupa'dan, 19 adedi Balkanlar'dan, 19 adedi Asya ülkelerinden ve 8 adedi de Orta Doğu ülkelerinden gelmişti. Türkiye'den 33 üniversiteden bildiri sunulduğunu ve 22 bildirinin Türkiye'de üniversiteler arasında birlikte hazırlanan bildiri olduğunu belirtmek gerekmektedir. Ayrıca, Kongre'de sunulan bildirilerin 85 adedinin tek yazarlı, 82 adedinin iki yazarlı ve 54 adedinin üç yazarlı ve 15 adedinin dört yazarlı olması idi. Beş yazarlı tek bildiri vardı.
