PRIMER PRACTICES IN TURKISH FOLK DANCE SHOWS AND CONTEST IN TURKEY

Abstract

Turkish folk dancing was an important factor in the formation of Turkish nationstate. Subsequent to local folk dancing groups, Turkish folk dancing is aphenomenon which spread all educational institutions and related organizationsvia contests to which college students organized under associations participated. Inthese course of time, folk dances which were brought to cities from rural areas, hadbeen exposed to many positive or negative influences.
