Transcatheter embolization of coronary artery fistula with controlled release coils

Abstract
Coronary artery fistules are the second commonly seen coronary anomaly following the outlet abnormalities of coronary arteries. Transcatheter embolization or surgical methods are the threaupatic choices. In this report a case of successful it transcatheter embolization, in which two coils were placed in a fistula with a diameter of 2.5 mm was presented. The success of the procedure was seen after 24 hours.

Koroner arter fistülü olan olguların bir kısmı asemptomatikken, diğerleri kalp yetmezliği, iskemik kalp hastalığı, endokardit, ventriküler taşikardi veya fistül rüptürü gibi sebeplerle kliniğe müracaat ederler. Tedavide transkateter embolizasyon veya cerrahi yöntemler uygulanır. Kliniğimizde 2.5mm çaplı bir fistüle sadece iki koil konulup 24 saat sonraki sonucu başarılı olan bir olgu sunuldu.
