BASIC DYNAMICS OF DIFFERENCES IN NAMING / EXPRESSION OF SOLO VOCAL PRACTICES IN TURKEY

Abstract

In Turkey, people who singing is to be called in two different ways as "vocal artist”and "singer". Similar naming differences as "music instrument artist" and "player" isvalid for the instrument to be played. The purpose of this article, the musicians aresimilar in terms of music acts, why it is called in Turkey in a different way and thisappellation is to understand what the basic dynamics are. Working on behalf of thediscipline is to fit a frame and to make a systematic analysis, the ethnographic datarequired for the post, Ege University Turkish Music State Conservatory at theDepartment of Vocal Education consists of eight lecturer and nineteen studentswere from my interviews with a limited focus group interviews. Articles inobservation and interview methods are used, the data obtained by these methodswas assessed in a conceptual framework.
