Delayed vitrectomy in a case ocular siderosis

Abstract
Ocular siderosis is a sight threatening complication of an iron containing intraocular foreign body. In most cases, early surgical removal of the metallic foreign body is the treatment of choice. In this study, ue aimed lo present the results of the delayed vitreoretinal surgery and electroretinographic and cytopathologic findings in a case of an ocular siderosis in which intraocular foreign body had been determined belatedly.
Özet
Oküler siderozis demir içerikli metalik göz içi yabancı cisme bağlı gelişen ve görmeyi tehdit eden bir komplikasyondur. Çoğu olguda, metalik göz içi yabancı cismin erken dönemde çıkarılması en etkili tedavidir. Bu çalışmada, göz içi yabancı cismin geç tespit edildiği oküler siderozis olgusunda elektrotroretinograjik. sitopatolojik bulguları ve gecikmiş olarak uygulanan vitreoretinal cerrahi sonuçlarını sunmayı amaçladık.
