Sympathetic ophthalmia thirteen years after perforating eye injury

Abstract
A case with tha history of ocular surgery because of perforating eye injury in the right eye was reported. There were intraocular inflammation, papilledema, retinal detachment, Dalen-Fuchs nodules and choroidal thickening in the affected eye. The patient was diagnosed as sympathetic ophthalmia and oral prednisone was given. Her visual acuity and clinical findings improved after the treatment.
Özet
On üç yıl önce sağ gözüne cam batması nedeniyle ameliyat geçirmiş olan ve sol gözde göz içi inflamasyon, optik diskte ödem, retina dekolmanı, Dalen-Fuchs nodülleri ve koroid kalınlaşması olan bir olguya sempatik oftalmi tanısı ile sistemik kortikosteroid tedavisi başlandı. Tedavi sonrası görme artışı ve muayene bulgularında düzelme görüldü, retina dekolmanı kayboldu.
