Abstract

Pathologic myopia is defined as a myopic refractive error of more than 6 diopters associated with degenerative changes in fundus. Myopic foveoschisis (macular retinoschisis and foveal detachment without macular hole, myopic traction maculopathy) is a type of myopic maculopathy, and is one of the causes of visual loss in high myopes. The diagnosis of this condition has been increasing, possibly due to increased use of optical coherence tomography (OCT). Herein, we present clinical, angiographical and OCT characteristics of two patients with myopic foveoschisis.

Özet

Patolojik miyopi, 6 dioptriden fazla miyopik kırma kusuru ile birlikte göz dibinde dejeneratif değişikliklerin bulunmasıdır. Optik koherens tomografinin kullanıma girmesiyle daha sık teşhis edilen bir miyop makulopati tipi olan miyop foveoskizis (makula deliğinin eşlik etmediği makula retinoskizisi ve foveanın sığ dekolmanı, miyop çekinti makulopatisi), yüksek miyop olgulardaki görme azlığı nedenlerinden biridir. Bu çalışmada, makula deliğinin eşlik etmediği makula retinoskizisi ve foveanın sığ dekolmanı tespit edilen iki yüksek miyop olgu sunulmaktadır.
