Tarımsal ürünlerin kurutulmasında siklon tipi bir kurutucunun kullanılabilirliği

Abstract

In this study, the utilization of a cyclone type dryer in drying of agricultural products was investigated. Different from conventional types of dryers the samples subjected to heated-air in swirl flow in place ofaxially flow. Swirl flow was supplied by entering drying air in angular direction in to the drying chamber. Potato slices cut in the shape of rectangular prism with the dimensions öf 12.5x12.5x25 mm and 8x8x18 mm and used in experiments. Under conditions of drying air inlet temperature, 60, 70 °C and drying air velocity 1m/s, the drying characteristic of samples was investigated for swirl flow. By necessary modification on the experimental set up, the experiments were repeated under the same conditions in axially flow, and the comparison drying time of both flows are given.

Bu çalışmada, tarımsal ürünlerin kurutulmasında, siklon tipi bir kurutucunun kullanılabilirliği araştırılmıştır. Siklon tipi kurutucuda, geleneksel kurutma sistemlerinden farklı olarak, örneklerin ısıtılmış hava ile teması, eksenel akış ortamı yerine dönel akış ortamında gerçekleşmiştir. Dönel akış, havanın kurutma odasına alt taraftan açısal yönde verilerek sağlanmıştır. Deneylerde 12.5x12.5x25 mm ve 8x8x18 mm ebatlarında dikdörtgenler prizması şeklinde kesilmiş patates örnekleri kullanılmıştır, örneklerin kuruma karakteristiği, kurutma havasının 60, 70 °C giriş sıcaklığında ve 1m/s hız şartlarında dönel akış için incelenmiştir. Deney setinde gerekli düzenlemeler yapılarak, deneyler aynı fiziki şartlarda eksenel akış için de tekrarlanmış ve her iki akış kurutma süresi açısından karşılaştırılmıştır.
