Using of fuzzy logic method to assessing materiality and an example

Önemlilik değerlendirmesinde bulanık mantık yönteminin kullanımı ve bir uygulama

Abstract

There are two difficulties confronted by auditors to assess the materiality, which are the decision of specified level of materiality and the outcome of qualitative factors. Fuzzy logic method, which covers qualitative factors in misstatement of error detections and scales materiality from 0 to 1, supports the auditor in the audit process. In other words, this method provides a model structure in the judgment process for assessment of materiality. In this study, how the fuzzy logic method is used in materiality judgments and the fuzzy logic method’s affects on auditor’s judgments were examined.

Önemlilik değerlendirilmesinde denetçilerin karşılaştığı iki temel sorun bulunmakta olup, bu sorunlar, belirle nen önemlilik düzeyine göre önemlilik kararı ve nitel faktörlerdir. Bulanık mantık yöntemi denetim sürecinde, nitel faktörleri de içine alarak, her bir hatanın tespiti ve [0-1] ölçe ğinde önemlilik değerlendirmesi için denetçiye yardım etmektedir. Diğer bir ifadeyle bu yöntem, denetçiye önemlilik değerlendirmesi için yargıya ulaşmada bir model yapısı sunmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, bulanık mantık yönteminin önemlilik değerlendirmesinde nasıl kullanıldığı ve denetçi yargıları üzerindeki etkileri incelenmiştir.
