Özet
- Bu çalışmanın konusunu, İlköğretim Fen Bilimleri dersine uygun yenilikçi yaklaşım ve aktif öğrenme etkinliklerine yönelik bir eğitim programının hazırlanması, fen öğretmenleri ile uygulamalı olarak gerçekleştirilmesi ve etkililiğinin değerlendirilmesi oluşturmaktadır. Aktif öğrenme etkinlikleri, 5. ve 6. sınıf Fen Bilimleri Dersinin içeriğine uygun olacak şekilde yapılandırılmış ve etkinliklerde küçük grup çalışmalarına yer verilmiştir. Eğitim uygulaması, Türkiye'nin farklı bölgelerinden 40 Fen Bilimleri öğretmeni (20 bay, 20 bayan) ile İzmir ilinde bir haftalık sürede gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmanın verileri, Anket, Yapılandırılmış Görüşme Formları ile Ses Kayıtları ve Gözlemler ile elde edilmiştir. Çalışmanın sonucunda, sunulan eğitimin katılımcı öğretmenler tarafından genel olarak etkili ve yararlı bulunduğu, mesleki açıdan kendilerine olan güvenlerinde olumlu yönde gelişmeler olduğu, bu tür çalışmaların devamının gelmesini talep ettikleri ve öğrendiklerini sınıf ortamlarında uygulamak için girişimde bulunacakları yönünde sonuçlara ulaşılmıştır
Abstract
- The subject of the study is related to prepare a program of instruction to enable the implementation of active learning activities, to practice the implementation of such a program with science teachers, and then to evaluate its effectiveness. The activities were structured in a manner appropriate to the content of 5th and 6th grade science courses and included working in small groups. This innovative application of instruction designed for science teachers working in the second tier of the primary schools was implemented in different regions of Turkey with a group of 40 teachers (20 men and 20 women) in the province of İzmir over the course of a week. The data for the study were collected with a Questionnaire, Structured Interview Forms + Sound Recordings and Observations. At the end of the study, it was concluded that the needs of the Science Teachers to develop and renew their teaching methods were largely met, both from a professional and a personal point of view
