Özet
ÖZET Bu çalışmanın amacı; Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Yüksek Okulu’nda (BESYO) okuyan öğrencilerin spora başlamalarına, besyo’yu seçmelerine etki eden faktörler ile geleceğe yönelik beklentilerinin okudukları bölümlere göre karşılaştırılmasıdır. Çalışmaya Çukurova Üniversitesi BESYO’da okuyan toplam 318 öğrenci (123 beden eğitimi öğretmenliği bölümü, 130 antrenörlük eğitimi bölümü, 65 spor yöneticiliği bölümü) katılmıştır. Öğrenciler, araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan anket formunu cevaplamışlardır. Çalışma sonucunda; öğretmenlik bölümü öğrencilerinin spora başlamasında “bir kulüpte sporcu olmak”, “boş zamanı değerlendirmek” ve “yeni insanlar tanımak” nedenlerinin, diğer bölümlerde okuyan öğrencilere göre istatistiksel bakımdan etkisinin daha düşük olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bunlara ek olarak; öğretmenlik bölümü öğrencileri BESYO’yu seçme nedenleri içerisinde; “spor alanında daha başarılı olacağını düşünme” ve “spor alanında bilimsel eğitim almak”, seçeneklerine antrenörlük ve yöneticilik öğrencilerine göre istatistiksel bakımdan daha az önem verdikleri saptanmıştır. Antrenörlük bölümü öğrencilerinin geleceğe yönelik “akademisyen olma” ve “yurt dışında alanla ilgili çalışma yapma” beklentilerinin, öğretmenlik ve yöneticilik bölümü öğrencilerine göre istatistiksel bakımdan daha yüksek olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
Abstract
The aim of this study was to compare the reasons of sport participation, studying physical education and their expectations about future of physical education students according to different department. Research performed on totally 318 students (123 students from Physical Education and Sports Instruction Department/PESID, 130 students from Coaching Department/CD and 65 students from Sports Management Department/SMD) from Cukurova University, Faculty of Physical Education in Turkey. Students answered the survey sheet which is designed by researcher. As a result; it is found that being an athlete, do sport as a leisure activity and meeting new people were statistically more important reasons to sport participation for CD and SMD students than for PESID students. In addition, become more successful in sport and studying sport at the university were statistically more effective reasons to studying physical education for CD and SMD students than for PESID students. Also CD students have statistically higher expectation from future than SMD and PESID students with become academic and studying abroad.
