DOCUMENTATION AND CONSERVATION PROBLEMS OF FERTEK DWELLING LOCATED IN CAPPADOCIA REGION, NIĞDE PROVINCE, FERTEK VILLAGE

KAPADOKYA BÖLGESİ, NİĞDE İLİ, FERTEK KÖYÜ’NDE YER ALAN FERTEK EVİ’NİN BELGELENMESİ VE KORUMA SORUNLARI

Abstract

Fertek settlement located in the Cappadocia Region is within the Province of Niğde boundaries. Fertek has a multilayered historic pattern, including a church, a bath, a mosque, an underground city, chapels, traditional houses, historic fountains which are noteworthy. For the conservation of traditional Niğde dwellings, a traditional house registered under the name of 'Fertek House' and its architectural survey work is the main subject of this study. The first step in protection is to prepare the survey of the subject in scale and in detail to include all research studies related documentation. Therefore, the aim of this study is to document the current situation of the Fertek House which has historical and cultural significance, but also in danger of extinction through analytical investigations and evaluations. This study includes graphic documentation that defines Fertek House, which was made by taking photographs, traditional surveying methods, written identification, etc. Different functions in the settlement (churches, fountains etc.) all of the historic value must be protected as a whole. Thus, to conserve the settlement of historic value; the first step is to demonstrate the importance and make analysis. In this sense, documentation of the house, which is one of the important examples of traditional dwellings is important to conserve the historic pattern of the settlement.

Özet

Fertek Köyü, Kapadokya Bölgesinde yer alan Niğde İli sınırları içerisindedir. Çok katmanlı tarihi dokuya sahip Fertek; kilisesi, hamamı, camisi, yeraltı şehri, şapelleri, geleneksel konutları, tarihi çeşmeleri ile dikkat çekmektedir. Geleneksel Niğde evlerinin korunması adına, ‘Fertek Evi’ ismiyle tescillenmiş geleneksel konutun rölöve çalışmaları bu çalışmanın temel konusudur. Korumada ilk adım, belgelemenin ilgili tüm araştırma çalışmalarını içerecek ölçek ve ayrıntıda hazırlanmış olmasıdır. Bu sebeple bu çalışmanın amacı, tarihi ve kültürel bir öneme sahip, yok olma tehlikesindeki geleneksel yapının; bugünkü durumunu analitik incelemeler ve değerlendirmelerle belgelemektir. Çalışma, tarihi Fertek Evi’ni belgeleyen rölöve projesi ve tanımlama çalışmalarından oluşmaktadır. Yapının analitik belgelenmesi fotoğraf, klasik okuma yöntemleri, yazılı tanımlama vs. yoluyla yapılmıştır. Yerleşimde yer alan farklı işlevlerdeki (kilise, çeşme vb.) tarihi değerlerin tamamının bir bütün olarak korunması gerekmektedir. Bu anlamda geleneksel konutların önemli örneklerinden olan Fertek Evi’nin belgelenmesi, yerleşimin tarihi dokusunun korunması için önem taşımaktadır.
