Karyological studies on Ophrys L. species (Orchidaceae) in Edirne Region

Abstract
It is aimed to search the karyological characteristics of the species belonging Ophrys L. genus scattered in Edirne. 2n=36 chromosomes were found out in O. sphegodes Mill., O. mammosa Desf., O. oestrifera Bieb.subsp. oestrifera and O. apifera Hudson according to observations from the squashing preparates made from root tip. In addition, we found out aneuploidy in O. mammosa and O. oestrifera subsp. oestrifera. As a result, karyological characteristics of the taxa investigated were determined and the results were compared with those of other investigators.
Özet
Çalışmada Ophrys cinsinin Edirne'de yayılış gösteren türlerinde karyolojik özelliklerin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Kök ucundan yapılan ezme preperatlara göre Ophrys sphegodes Mili., O. mammosa Desf., O. oestrifera Bieb. subsp. oestrifera ve O. apifera Hudson'da 2n=36 kromozom bulunmuştur. Ayrıca O. mammosa 'da ve O. oestrifera subsp. oestrifera'-da aneuploidiye de rastlanmıştır. Sonuçta incelenen taksonların karyolojik özellikleri tespit edilmiş ve sonuçlar diğer araştırmacıların bulguları ile karşılaştırılmıştır.
