The ethnobotanical culture of Bahçe and Hasanbeyli districts of Osmaniye province

Abstract
This research was carried out to determine the natural plants using by Bahçe and Hasanbeyli (Osmaniye) people in 2004–2006. At the end of the interviews which is do with region people, a total of 79 species belong to 33 families and 69 genera were determined that these plants are used for various aims (food, medicine, house furnuture, ornament furniture, colouring and talisman). Cruciata taurica used for fermentation of milk was first recorded.
Özet
Bu araştırma, Bahçe ve Hasanbeyli halkının kullandığı doğal bitkileri belirlemek amacıyla 2004–2006 yıllarında yapıldı. Bölge halkıyla yapılan görüşmeler sonucunda 33 familya ve 69 cinse ait 79 taksonun çeşitli amaçlar için (gıda, ilaç, ev eşyası, süs eşyası, kereste, boya, inançsal) kullanıldığı saptandı. Cruciata taurica türünün maya olarak kullanımı ilk kez kayıt altına alındı.
