Vertebral artery hypoplasia and tinnitus: Magnetic resonance angiography finding

Abstract
Tinnitus may be defined as the perception of sound in the absence of environmental input. It is not a spesific disease and it can be found with many disease states. We report a 53 years old women suffering from pulsatile tinnitus in right ear with left vertebral artery hypoplasia. The other vertebral artery and basilar artery are thinly calibrated. The physical examination of the case is all normal. Magnetic resonance angiography findings of the case are demonstrated.
Özet
Tinnitus, akustik uyaran olmaksızın hissedilen sesleri ifade eder. Özgül bir hastalık olmayıp, değişik birçok hastalığın bir parçası olarak görülebilir. Sağ kulağında pulsatil çınlama şikayeti ile başvuran 53 yaşındaki kadın hastanın fizik muayenesi normal bulunmuştur. Etiolojik inceleme için yapılan ileri tetkikler sırasında, manyetik rezonans angiografide sol vertebral arter hipoplazisi saptandı.
