Bcl-2 and PCNA immunoreactivity and AgNOR scores of follicular lymphomas

Abstract

In this study, bcl-2 and PCNA immunoreactivity and AgNOR scores of 33 cases of follicular lymphoma were evaluated and any correlation between histologic subtypes and their staining properties was investigated.Bcl-2 positivity was detected in 87,8% of all cases. On statistical evaluation it was found that small cleaved cell follicular lymphoma (SCCFL) had significantly more positivity with bcl-2 (p<0.05).Large cell follicular lymphoma (LCFL), however, showed tendency to be negative with bcl-2 (p<0.001).As to staining patterns, noduler staining pattern was more apparent in SCCFL group than the others.It was detected that there were significant differences among subtypes in PCNA activity and agNOR scores (p>0.001).With both parameters the highest and the lowest scores were observed in LCFL and SCCFL groups respectively

Bu çalışmada, 33 Folliküler lenfoma (FL) olgusu, bcl-2 ve PCNA İmmünreaktivitesi AgNOR skoru yönünden değerlendirilmiş, histolojik altgruplar arasındaki ilişkiler ve boyanma özellikleri araştırılmıştır.Bcl-2 pozitifliği tüm FL olgularının %87.8'inde saptanmıştır. Bulguların istatistiksel değerlendirmesinde, bcl-2 ile küçük çentikli hücreli folliküler lenfoma (KÇHFL)'nın anlamlı ölçüde daha sık pozitif boyandığı görülmüştür (p<0.01). Çalışmamızdaki olgular boyanma patternlerine göre değerlendirildiğinde KÇHFL'nın diğer histopatolojik altgruplara göre belirgin şekilde nüdüler boyanma patterni gösterdiği dikkati çekmiştir.PCNA İmmünreaktivitesi ve AgNOR değerleri yönünden kıyaslandığnda da histolojik altgruplar arasında anlamlı bir fark saptanmıştır (p<0,001). Her iki belirleyici ile en düşük değerler KÇHFL grubunda, en yüksek değerler ise BHFL grubunda izlenmiştir.
