Abstract

The wideness of diversity in almost every area of consumption has changed the dimension of competition. It is becoming increasingly difficult to maintain a competitive approach based on price and physical characteristics. Therefore, companies now prefer to create psychological or emotional differences rather than creating benefit-based differences in their products. At this juncture, the notion of sensory branding, which is evaluated within the branding strategies, becomes prominent. The stronger the brand message that is perceived and commented by the sense organs, the stronger the brand will be with the consumer. There is a particular importance of sensory branding for service sector companies because they are in a position to address all the senses of consumers in terms of the service sector structure. In this study, a five-star thermal hotel was assessed in the context of sensorybranding. A questionnaire was used as a method, and the Loyalty Impact Score (LIS) developed by Martin Lindstrom was used to interpret the obtained data. LIS values are also interpreted via sensagram. One of the most important aspects of the research is that the any hotel has not been assessed in the context of sensory branding. According to the obtained LIS values, the participants stated that the facility addressed the most sense of sight. This is followed by touch, sound, taste and smell sensations respectively. In addition, LIS values which is given by participants based on senses changed according to participants’ period of stay, number of previous accommodations and preferences for using the hospitality industry

Özet

Tüketimin hemen hemen her alanında yaşanan bol çeşitlilik durumu rekabetin boyutunu değiştirmiştir.
