A RESEARCH ON EXPECTATIONS OF THIRD AGE TOURISTS IN THERMAL HOSPITALITY ENTERPRISES

ÜÇÜNCÜ YAŞ TURİSTLERİN TERMAL KONAKLAMA İŞLETMELERİNDEN BEKLENTİLERİ ÜZERİNE BİR ARAŞTIRMA

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the expectations of third age tourists from thermal hospitality enterprises. The survey data were collected by using questionnaire method from 211 tourists staying in thermal hospitality enterprises in Kütahya. Data were analyzed with the statistical data analysis program.. According to the results of the research, tourists evaluated services in four dimensions. These dimensions; the services offered by the enterprises, the location of the enterprises, the hygiene and the personnel and the price. There are significant differences between the gender variable and the prices and the opportunities offered by the enterprises are; marital status variable and price; visiting Kütahya province for the first time variable and the opportunities offered by the enterprises; the tourists' arrival goals and the location of the enterprises.

Özet

Bu çalışmanın amacı, üçüncü yaş turistlerin termal konaklama işletmelerinden beklentilerinin araştırılmasıdır. Araştırma verileri, Kütahya ilindeki termal konaklama işletmelerinde kalan 211 turistten anket formu yardımıyla toplanmıştır. Veriler istatistiksel veri analiz programı yardımıyla incelenmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre turistler hizmetleri dört boyutta değerlendirmişlerdir. Bu boyutlar; işletmelerin sunduğu hizmetler, işletmenin konumu, hijyen ve personel ile fiyat olarak belirlenmiştir. Araştırmada cinsiyet değişkenine göre fiyat ve işletmelerin sunduğu hizmetler faktörlerinde, medeni durum ile fiyat faktöründe, Kütahya ilini ilk defa ziyaret etme ile işletmenin sunduğu hizmetler faktöründe ve turistlerin otele geliş amaçları ile işletmenin konumu faktöründe anlamlı farklılıklar ortaya çıkmıştır.
