The application of industrial type robots in tiling of mosaics

Abstract
In mosaic sector, a subsector of marble sector, the manufacturing is made by classical methods. Many problems are occurred during and after the manufacturing. This study is intended to contribute for solving manufacturing problems. The aim is to spread the use of automation system during the manufacturing of mosaics. Therefore, tiling of mosaics by an automated system is proposed and it’s advantages and disadvantages are also discussed. Mitsubishi RV2AJ five axes robot arm system was used for the application and result showed that the system employed provides fast and efficient operation compared to classical system.
Özet
Mermer sektörünün bir alt sektörü olan mozaik sektöründe, klasik yöntemlerle üretim yapılmaktadır. Bu sektörde üretim asamasında ve sonrasında birçok problem yasanmaktadır. Bu çalısmada ki amaç üretim sistemlerin de yasanan sorunlara çözüm bulmaktır. Ayrıca amaç endüstriyel otomasyon sistemlerinin kullanımını yaygınlastırmak olduğu için uygulamamızda 5 eksenli RV-2AJ Mitsubishi marka robot kol ile cam mozaiklerin sıralama islemini gerçeklestirildi. Kullanılan sistemin avantaj ve dezavantajları tartısıldı. Sonuç olarak bu uygulanan sistemin eski çalısma sisteminden daha verimli olduğu ve daha kaliteli mal ürettiği belirlenmistir.
