DIGITAL TWIN APPLICATION IN INDEPENDENT AUDITING

Abstract

The methods applied in many areas are replaced by new ones or the methods and processes need to keep up with the developing technology. People, devices and processes will adapt to the new technologies or lose their current positions. One of these innovations of technology is the concept of digital twin and the results it brings. In this fast-developing technology, the field of auditing tries to adapt to the changes. It is possible to perform auditing operations with digital twins. This study was written to guide the application of a new technology such as digital twins in the field of auditing. In the study, general information about digital twin and independent auditing is given, and then suggestions and information about how independent auditing can be done with digital twin are shared.

Gelişen teknoloji ile birlikte birçok alanda uygulanmakta olan yöntemler yerini yenilerine bırakmakta veya yöntemlerin ve süreçlerin yeni teknolojilere ayak uydurması gerekmektedir. İnsanlar, cihazlar ve süreçler yeni teknolojilere ayak uyduracaklar veya mevcut konumlarını kaybedecekler. Teknolojinin bu yeniliklerinden biri de dijital ikiz kavramı ve beraberinde getirdiği sonuçlardır. Bu hızlı teknoloji devinimi içinde denetim alanı da sürece adapte olmaya çalışmaktadır. Denetim işlemlerinin dijital ikizler ile yapılabilmesi mümkün hale gelmektedir. Bu çalışma dijital ikiz gibi yeni bir teknolojinin denetim alanında uygulanması konusunda yol göstermesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışmada dijital ikiz ve bağımsız denetim ile ilgili genel bilgilere yer verilmiş sonrasında ise bağımsız denetimin dijital ikiz ile nasıl yapılabileceği konusunda öneri ve bilgiler paylaşılmıştır.
