A postmenopausal virgin patient with total uterine prolapse: A report of unusual case

Abstract
In this report A 51- year- old virgin woman who has 3 years menopause. She received no hormone replacement therapy for 3 years. The risk factors were investigated. There was no other risk factor except estrogen deficiency. She underwent total vaginal hysterectomy and replaced on estrogen replacement therapy. To our knowledge this case is the first who had virgin and total uterin prolapsus. In this report total uterine prolapse was attribitued to the long term estrogene deficiency.
Özet
Bu raporda 51 yaşında ve 3 yıldır menopozda olan ancak hiçbir hormon replasman tedavisi almayan virjin bir hastada gelişen total uterin prolapsus olgusu sunuldu. Östrojen eksikliği dışında ek risk faktörleri araştırılan hastaya vaginal histerektomi yapıldı. Araştırmalarımızda östrojen eksikliği dışında ek risk faktörü saptanamadı. Bilgilerimize göre bu raporda virjin olup, total uterin prolapsus gelişen ilk olgu sunulmaktadır.
