Rectal malign melanoma: A case report

Abstract

We report a 47- year old male rectal malignant melanoma case with rectal bleeding complaint. He was treated with abdominoperineal resection and postoperative adjuvant Cisplatin+Bleomycin+Vinblastine+ alnterferon and Tamoxifen combination chemotherapy. On the postoperative 19 th month, local recurrence in the perineal region occurred and was treated with radiotherapy whilst on the postoperative 26 th month testicular metastasis developed and orchidectomy was done. On the 34 th postoperative month the patient died of respiratory insufficiency due to lung metastasis. In this report, rectal malignant melanoma, still covering diagnostic and therapeutic obscurities, is reviewed by means of this patient and related literature.

Özet

Rektal Kanama şikayeti nedeniyle kırkyedi yaşındaki bir erkek hastaya rektal malign melanoma tanısı konuldu. Abdominoperineal rezeksiyon ve adjuvan olarak postoperatif dönemde Cisplatin+Bleomycin+Vinblastin+a İnterferon ve Tamoxifen'in kullanıldığı kombinasyon kemoterapisi ile tedavi edildi. Postoperatif 19.ayda perinea! bölgede oluşan lokal nüks radyoterapi ile, 26. ayda oluşan teslis metastazı ise orşiektomi ile tedavi edildi. 34.ayda akciğer metastazı gelişerek solunum yetersizliği sonucu kaybedilen bu olgu nedeniyle tanı ve tedavisinde hala belirsizliklerin olduğu anorektal malign melanoma, literatür eşliğinde gözden geçirildi.
