Abstract
41 case of hypernatremic dehydration due to acute gastroenteritis were hospitalized in our clinic in 1994. Mean Na1 level was 163.46+12.96 mEp/L. All the cases were treated according to following protocol. Fifty percent of the deficit fluid volume was replaced in the first 24 hours and the other half was replaced in subsequent day, by %5 Dextroz-%0.2 NaCl (34 mEq/L). Serum Na* levels returned to normal in 50.47+16.57 hours. This results showed that the treatment protocol was adequate.
Özet
Zeynep Kamil Hastanesi Süt Çocuğu Kliniği 'nde 1994 yılı boyunca akut gastroenterit sonucu oluşan hipernatremik dehidratasyonlu 41 olgu izlendi. Olguların ortalama Na+ değerleri 163.46±12.96 mEq/L idi. Olguların hepsinde defısitin yarısı ilk 24 saatte, diğer yarısı ikinci 24 saatte karşılanacak şekilde %5 Dekstroz-%0.2 NaCl (1 litrede 34 mEq Na+ içerir) İV edildi. Ortalama 50.47±16.57 saatte serum Na+ düzeyleri normale döndü. Tedavi yeterli olarak değerlendirildi.
