Abstract
Blood lipid changes seen in the postmenaposal period suggest the protective effect of the ovaries and this estrogen. Hysterectomy operations have been commonly performed nowadays. In ous study we have decided to see the valves of blood lipids and hormones before and after total hysterectomies (with or without Salpingoopherectomy ) 25 cases of hysterectomies with bilateral Salpingoopherectomy and 25 cases of hysterectomies without BSO have been included in our study. 25 cases of patients who have natural menopause have been choosen as the control group. As a result in both of the study groups there have been adverse effects on atherogenic lipid fractions. Hysterectomies performed during the premenaposal period have shown the increased risk of coronary heart disease.
